First world problems. Back in March I bought two pair of linen pants from Old Navy. Perfect for summer. They fit like a glove …
… but now it’s summer and the pants are too big. Sigh …
Certainly not the worst problem to have.
It’s been tough to be a Mets fan this week. They’re breaking my heart.
Finally got to meet my neighbor with whom I share a back fence. He rang my bell and asked to go into my yard to retrieve his kids’ beach ball.
Fingers crossed, our gas grill is supposed to be delivered on Friday.
Very scary incident last night. A police helicopter circled our neighborhood for about 30 minutes. Folks on the Ring app said the cops were looking for a missing person, a 77-year-old with dementia. I hope they found the person they were looking for,(My Ring app picked up a police car driving past the house while the helicopter was circling, but he didn’t have lights or siren going, so I would never have noticed if not for 5ge helicopter…)
Circling helicopters are not good news, Back in October the helicopter was circling in the daytime. It landed on the high school football field, where it met an ambulance. A little girl had been attacked by a dog. When the helicopters circled last August there had been a robbery.
A few weeks later the police arrested a man who was walking on the same street as the robbery; he was violating the county’s anti mask law.
Right after we moved here, there was a significant house fire just a few blocks from here. 11 months later the house is still boarded up and uninhabitable.
Yeah, it’s an interesting neighborhood.
Wait....the man was arrested because he was wearing a mask? He was doing this because he wanted to be safe, not only Covid, but just colds, flu, pneumonia and, here, in Ontario, we have a measles outbreak! Mothers didn't get their k8ds immunized..thank you Jenny McCarthy! Thankfully, I lived during an age where we got all our immunization shots. You do live on an interesting neighbourhood. I hope the older man is found alive and well thankfully, it's not winter time. I hate this hot weather and can't wait until it gets a bit more sensible. Perfect song for this.
ReplyDeleteOur county has a law that says you can’t wear a mask to conceal your identity. There’s an exemption for someone wearing a mask for medical reasons.
DeleteThere’s guy who was arrested and charged was apparently acting suspiciously, staking out the neighborhood, carrying a knife … but a few days later someone who wasn’t acting suspiciously was arrested and is challenging the law on Constitutional grounds
Could you wash the linen pants in hot water and hope they shrink? ;) Helicopters circling aren't fun. It gets annoying after a while. At least you're able to find out why they are.
