Ramblings
So it’s finally summer! Now when I walk I see lots of people. People walking or jogging. People walking dogs. Kids on bicycles, kids playing in the park.
I still see the low flying planes.
More graduation signs have popped up in the Hicksville section of the neighborhood. There’s a big difference, though,. In Levittown the signs contain the student’s name, whether they’re graduating from high school or kindergarten. In Hicksville, with the exception of high school grads, the signs aren’t personalized. They just identify the grade and the school of the graduate.
This house is for sale,
I love the trees. You can see they believe in “no mow May”.
I couldn’t help but notice that there are more birds in the part of the neighborhood where the streets have “bird” names. I see more birds on Kingfisher or Magpie than I do elsewhere in the neighborhood. It’s as if they know.
And I just noticed something about Wigeon Lane. No one lives on Wigeon. It’s a very short street that connects Blackbird Lane and Bobolink Lane. There are two houses on the corner of Blackbird and Wigeon; the houses face Blackbird, with side yards on Wigeon. The two houses on the corner of Bobolink and Wigeon face Bobolink.
Just a little oddity about the neighborhood.
How very strange. It's interesting how neighborhoods are set up.
