Growing up, I was first a Yankees fan (but never went to a game) and later a Mets fan. I listened to ballgames on my transistor radio when taking Sunday walks with my Dad (a memory I treasure). When I turned 20 or 21 I lost all interest. I had no idea, speaking of music, that Les Brown did a song tribute to Joe DiMaggio or Danny Kaye's tribute to the 1962 Dodgers. But I love Centerfield and always will. Hmmm, maybe I can do a post on commercial jingles from my days listening to Yankees and Mets games. Anyone for Baseball and Ballentine or Vote, Vote for Miss Rheingold? No, I didn't think so.
My brother's love. Some great tunes here and always liked the musicals. My brother went to a small town called St. Mary's on Saturday because they opened up the baseball museum there. Apparently, we Canadians also invented Baseball. I have to find out what my brother thinks after going there
