Music Monday
And today's topic?
Songs about the end of Summer
Well, this summer never really got started...and now it's over.
Sigh.
As they say in baseball, "wait until next year."
So...the music.
These folks had a great summer,,,
I had a huge crush on Travolta back in the day.
More nostalgia for summers past:
And some Don Henley:
Let's go First Class
A classic
And we close it out with Chad and Jeremy
Robin,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's the last day of August. Fall is close on our heels. I know my northern furriends aren't too excited about the seasonal change because that means Old Man Winter follows afterward and sometimes he has a way of jumping the gun. The year is also moving by at an alarming rate. There's no slowing it down. I think I'll be happy when this year is gone, though. It's been a hard one. I'm ready to hit reset for us to have a better new year than this at the stroke of midnight on December 31st, aren't you? Great song set! My favorite is Frank Sinatra, "The Things We Did Last Summer", very pretty! It's great having you on the dance floor. Have a boogietastic week. Stay safe and be well, my dear! {{hugs}}
A great selection of songs today! I especially like the Chad & Jeremy song, always one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteExcellent playlist today. Interesting to see Don Henley without the Eagles. Thanks for sharing your music. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteLove Frankie, thanks for the other tunes as well❤❤❤
ReplyDeleteA great set. I had forgotten all about First Class; it was nice hearing that song again. But best of all was A Summer Song (which I had on my blog, also) because that song is the very definition of the end of summer. Summer has ended in upstate New York; today was our first day of the upcoming seasonal gloom. But autumn leaves must fall.... Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed your playlist, Songbird, it was very varied. Our favourite is Brian Adams and the Beach Baby was so seventies ;) 😸Swinging Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday🐾😽💞
