movie review -- The King's Speech
Excellent movie. Colin Firth was great as King George VI. How difficult it must be for an actor who is so fluent with language to portray someone who stammers and stutters and can barely speak in public! Geoffrey Rush as Lionel, the speech therapist, and Helena Bonham Carter as Queen Elizabeth made perfect foils for Firt; their smooth speech made Firth's impediment all the more obviousl I did not recognize the actor playing the archbishop, Derek Jacobi has not aged well.and was that really Claire Bloom as Queen Mary? she was so regal!
Definitely one of the better films this year.
