So last night there was a local telethon for the benefit of New Jersey ... a show that opened with the Boss, included Jon Stewart, Danny DeVito, Stephen Colbert, Whoopi Goldberg ..and ended with Bon Jovi singing an acoustic version of “Living on a Prayer”... But what made me cry ... Tony Bennett. Yes, that Tony Bennett.  Age 93 and still able to sing. And what did he sing? 1. What's something you resolved to do this year? Have you done it? I really didn’t make any resolutions this year.  I have a general resolution to exercise, eat healthy, and lose weight.  I’m failing miserably.  At least my weight hasn’t gone up. 2. Where do you go to find quietude? The beach, especially in the off season.  I love to walk the boardwalk. Haven't been able to do that recently... 3. A friend asked this question on her Facebook page and said I could borrow it for the Hodgepodge...you're only allowed to buy 5 things at the grocery store, and all must start with the first letter of your first name. Whatcha' buying? Roast beef, raisins, radishes, ramen noodles and Russian dressing. 4. I raised two Disney Princesses.  No, really.  Jen and Becca were born during the Disney renaissance.  Not only did our VHS library include classic Disney films like Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella ,  but they grew up in the age of The Little Mermaid , Aladdin  and Beauty and the Beast . The very first movie they saw in a movie theater was The Lion King . My Disney credit card got quite a workout at The Disney Store.  Every time Disney would release a movie, they'd also have a line of merchandise tied into the movie.  T shirts, stuffed animals, dolls.  Nightgowns that looked like the heroine's costume.  Swimsuits.  I think I remember dalmatian pocketbooks when they released the live action 101 Dalmatian s starring Glenn Close. I was a bit overindulgent, I bought a ton of Disney stuff... We'd see the movie (usually opening weekend), and the girls would find a few presents when we got home from the theater.
