There seemed to be a boat load of gifted keyboard players in the 60's & 70's. There was Billy, Billy Preston, Sir Elton John (my personal favorite), Barry Manilow, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, and Little Richard. They were all generational talents. Thanks for the great music today.
Billy Joel does it all-sing, play piano, and write songs. It's interesting that you chose both New York State of Mind and Miami 2017 (Saw the Lights Go Out on Broadway). For whatever it's worth, Miami 2017 (etc) is one of my favorite Billy Joel songs. And now, he's retiring to Florida while the show goes on.
I hope he's doing well. Thanks for the concert!
