I forget she's still a kid . . .
Lately Jen has been so grown up and mature that I tend to forget she's barely an adult.
She'd been giving me grief about taking time off from work to recuperate from surgery. She told me that my being home was driving her crazy. Wanted me to go back to work.
I was starting to feel like she didn't care about me or my health.
Finally figured out what was going on.
She assumed that if I wasn't working I wasn't getting paid. And she was stressing about how the bills were going to be paid if I have no income.
Adult stress and a child's understanding. Once I explained about disability insurance . . . Well, the stress seems to have gone away.
