A not-so-memorable Christmas Eve
So there we were at The Melting Pot. I hadd just finished dinner but we had not ordered dessert.
Suddenly I had very bad muscle cramps in my left leg. Really painful.
I decided to walk it off.
Walking helped the leg cramps, but when I got up the restaurant lobby I suddenly didn’t feel well. I sat down on the bench.
And the next thing I knew. I was lying on the floor, bleeding from a small gash just above my right eye.
One of the restaurant employees is an EMT. Another is a paramedic. They were already with me when I came to, I’d been unconscious for about 15 seconds.
You can guess the rest - an ambulance ride to the nearest hospital, several hours in the ER, a whole bunch of tests . The doctor stitched up my cut, told me she had no idea why I fainted, and sent me home at 2:30 in the morning.
Not exactly the way I planned my Christmas
What an ordeal you went through! I’m glad you had caring people around you during such a frightening moment. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hoping the coming days are a lot better. Take good care of yourself, and, as they say, even tough nights can lead to brighter mornings. Sending warm wishes your way!

Yikes, I'm so sorry. I hope you can figure out why you fainted. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYikes. I hope you are able to investigate this further. Were you dehydrated? I'm not a medical professional but something tells me this deserves further research, even if it's with Dr. Google.
ReplyDeleteOh, how frightening for you! I hope it was a one off.
ReplyDeleteIt happens, sometimes you just faint, and they can't figure out why. It happened to me once, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying you heal up soon.
