At 89, it's time to step back to enjoy the rest of ones life. He's had an amazing career show casing his silky golden voice. Happy retirement years, Johnny!

ReplyDeleteHe was not a fav of mine but he can sing. I just don't care for his styling of songs and his voice...personal opinion and, thankfully, I'm in the minority because I do recognize his talent I hope he is not ill because, at 89, you never know but he's had an amazing run.

ReplyDeleteWhat a week in the entertainment world. Richard Chamberlain dies, Johnny Mathis retires due to "memory issues", and Bobby Sherman's family announces his stage 4 cancer diagnosis. I think, years ago, we had a Music Moves Me theme devoted to Johnny Mathis and even if we didn't, he deserves one. What a talent.
