More ramblings

I saw a bunny on my walk yesterday.

The weather has been unseasonably cool, which has me thinking about my fall wardrobe.  I don’t need much for my work wardrobe now that I work from home, but I could use a few things…

Work was very stressful yesterday.  We lost a significant client, which means restructuring.  I’ve been down this road before, it’s going to be … interesting… at the office for awhile.

Another reason I’m glad I work from home.

It looks like I will have to become familiar with Yeoman of the Guard, a less-known Gilbert & Sullivan operetta.  The 1957 movie version starred Celeste Holm and Alfred Drake.

Wikipedia says

The opera is set in the Tower of London during the 16th century, and is the darkest, and perhaps most emotionally engaging, of the Savoy Operas, ending with a broken-hearted main character and two very reluctant engagements, rather than the usual numerous marriages. The libretto does contain considerable humour, including a lot of pun-laden one-liners, but Gilbert's trademark satire and topsy-turvy plot complications are subdued in comparison with the other Gilbert and Sullivan operas. The dialogue, though in prose, is quasi-Shakespearean, or early modern English, in style.

Could be interesting.  I don’t know if Drew wants to audition for a lead.
