When the name Connie Francis is mentioned "Where The Boys Are" is the first song that pops into my head. "Who's Sorry Now" proved that Connie could have been a great country artist. Thanks for sharing her music this morning. Have a blessed week.
Pretty Little Baby is an official Earworm Song for me and I'm glad that new generations were introduced to Peggy Lee. What a life she led. I loved seeing Lee entertain the troops. Nice selections.
She had a unique voice and was so approachable with her music. Too bad her dad, especially, disallowed her to see Bobby Darin. They truly loved each other. Her later life was marred by that rape she endured ...she was a true survivor.
So, sad that we lost another amazing talent! I loved Connie Francis' voice!! Thanks for remembering this lovely lady. RIP Connie Francis!

ReplyDeleteI especially love the one where she's singing "Where The Boys Are" to all the servicemen. Good picks!
