Frustration
So my new iPhone is wonderful. Or rather, it will be wonderful … once I get it activated.
It’s supposed to be easy. It’s supposed to be something you can do for yourself.
Well, I tried.
More than once.
Finally decided to contact Verizon support. Chat bot was useless, took 20 minutes to get a live rep.
Who abandoned me in mid chat.
Tried again. Second rep apologized, said there was an unusually high number of calls. If I’d give him a few minutes he’d be able to help me …
Riiiiight.
I spent over an hour “chatting”. And I still don’t have a working iPhone.
A rep is supposed to call me in the morning.
Yikes. Sorry. This is why I go to the store and have them do it (even though I could probably do it myself). Not this year, though. I just got a new phone in January, so mine will last a few more years. I see a "frustration resolved" post waiting, so I'm hoping this means it's all good now.
ReplyDeleteI've got AT&T, and mine went like Buttah...
ReplyDeleteMine got messed up when I tried to do it myself, and a supervisor had to fix the problem.
DeleteI bought a new (to me) iPhone at the carrier's store two Decembers ago. They always set it up for me for nothing. Now they were going to charge so I tried to do it myself. That didn't work. I took it back to the store and at least they didn't charge me, but they also had some problems and the manager ended up working on it. (sound familiar?) I'm happy you got your issue resolved, finally.
