My husband and I had the self titled BS&T album with And When I Die, I loved what I called horn groups. Now it seems a musician of my generation dies almost every week. That album had Spinning Wheel, Sometime in Winter, and Variations on a theme, among others. The last two may not be well known.. This so put me in the mood to find the album on You Tube and play it. It had so many good songs! (P.S. I have one BS&T song on my post for tomorrow and you can probably guess which one it is).
Back in the day I was a huge BS&T fan. I chose them over Chicago. David Clayton Thomas had the voice I loved to listen to. I like a little gravel and he had just the right amount. Yes, the artists of our day are leaving us behind, but we still have their music. Have a blessed week.
Good set of BS&T songs! I'm sorry to read the passing of David. Too many old artists are slipping away, but like Driller said, we have their music. Spinning Wheels might be my favorite of these, but they all are great! Thanks for being apart of the 4M party, my dear. Have a boogietastic week! xo

ReplyDeleteAnother great bites the dust! It sounds like it was a tough road for his family since he had dementia.
