We say “On Rosh Hashanah it is written, on Yom Kippur it is sealed.”

We say “May you be inscribed in the Book of Life.”

Tradition holds that a person who dies on Yom Kippur dies “without sin”, as he or she has cleansed themselves through the rituals of the holiday.

But no one should die in the steps of the synagogue while defending the building from a terrorist attack.

We live in perilous times.

  2. My heart grieves over these awful events. I pray every day for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of Jews. I've also been praying the holy days would be a blessing for all. I will continue to pray and work for peace in any way I can.
